Rebecca, TVCJ board member and JCS alumna, organized and led a Woman’s March in Castro Valley on October 17th. 50 members of the community marched and chanted on our 2 mile route. The March was fighting for economic, racial, and gender justice and to oppose the Supreme Court seat confirmation before the election. 1,2,3,4 we won’t take it anymore 5,6,7,8 no more violence, no more hate!

Tri-Valley Cultural Jews Member in the Community

Sierra Randel is a Tri-Valley Cultural Jews Member working on her Girl Scout Gold Award.  The Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts USA. Sierra proposed that a mural be painted on the back of the Bothwell Arts Center, in Livermore.  The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District Board of Directors approved the mural project during the July 11th, Board meeting.  It was also unanimously approved by the Livermore Commission for the Arts. She is working with Anne Giancola, the Bothwell Arts Center manager, a professional muralist and her project advisor.  Sierra will take the leadership role in getting the painting done including getting volunteers and donations to do the project.  She will also be creating a time lapse video of the project to educate people on the making of a mural. There will be a celebration with arts and crafts for kids towards the end of the project.  Sierra is a member of Girl Scout troop 30049, service unit 332.
